Salsa Dancing. Is Salsa Dancing in your Body Heart and Soul.

Salsa rhythm is felt in your body, heart and soul. Salsa dancing can bring tons of passion into your relationship, and indeed, rekindle a relationship that may have lost its spark. Salsa dancing is so much fun and that is what unites us all together. Modern salsa remains a dance-oriented genre and is closely associated with a style of salsa dancing. And the most dramatic visible effect that Salsa dancing had on me was when I lost the excess weight that was on my body.

Salsa refers to a fusion of informal dance styles having roots in the Caribbean (especially in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the United States), Latin and North America. Salsa incorporates multiple styles and variations; the term can be used to describe most any form of popular Cuban-derived genre, such as chachach and mambo. Salsa is a fun, sexy and social dance.

Salsa Dancing is like talking, but you show tone of voice through movement. Dancing "On 1" is like dancing to the melody of the music,while dancing "On 2" is like dancing in the rhythm of the music. Salsa music is a diverse and predominantly Spanish Caribbean genre that is popular across Latin America and among Latinos abroad.

Lessons can be about moves and shines and steps. You do not need a partner to attend salsa lessons, take salsa club classes or social dance at an outing or club. Remember that every dance school and/or salsa instructor will cover different material so it may be a better option to begin with level 1 lessons. Once you have invested some time in learning to dance through salsa lessons and practice sessions, your self confidence will increase on and off the dance floor.

Go to YouTube to find Latin Dance and Salsa lessons. There are tons of Salsa dance videos with step-by-step instruction and that will guide you through the dance basics. Quality instructional Videos are precise and very easy to follow. As a supplement to lessons in order to speed up your learning I also highly recommend video in the privacy of your own home.

The basic step typically uses three steps each measure. This is not to say that the steps are always on beats 1, 2 and 3 of the measure. The Break Step is important in most styles of salsa. First, the break step occurs on the same beat each measure and allows the partners to establish a connection and a common ground regarding the timing and size of steps. Some some and some disagree that Abakua, Comparsa and some times even Mozambique influenced Salsa dancing

The ease of Cuban style dancing may not look as showy as other types of Salsa dancing. Cuban men can dance with anybody of any style. Cubans do the "mambo" step", but they move so much, they don't think of the steps. Casino Rueda is a form of cuban salsa danced in a round circle with 2 or more couples exchanging partners where one person calls out the turn pattern names. Cubans do this as well as everybody else who dances salsa, no matter what nationality you are.

While percussion instruments layer several different rhythmic patterns simultaneously, the clave rhythm is the foundation of salsa. The rhythm structure is based on either the 2/3 or 3/2 son clave, and the sound is one very much associated with Puerto Rican or New Yorican bands, such as El Gran Combo & Tito Puente. Directly or indirectly, all the other instruments and the singers in the band are guided and structured by the clave rhythms.

Salsa dancing is emerging as a refreshing replacement for conventional aerobic exercises. Salsa dancing is one of the best ways to enjoy yourself while also getting in shape.
